Welcoming refugees to the Circus on the Avenue de la Motte-Piquet

The circus building that stood at 18-20 Avenue de la Motte Piquet was removed in the 1930s. It was requisitioned early in the war as a site for receiving refugees. It included a cloakroom, a dormitory, a dining hall and medical care facilities.
